Zahir Jaffer, the main suspect in the murder of Noor Mukadam, has asked police to keep media personnel out of the courtroom.
Jaffer made the request while appearing for a hearing of the case at the Islamabad district and sessions court on Monday. Zahir reportedly told police officials, “We need privacy, keep the media out of the courtroom.”
Zahir’s mother Asmat Adamjee, who is also nominated in the case, asked police officials to delete a video from the phone of a cameraman of a private news channel. Police officials then took the phone from the cameraman and deleted the video clip.
Zahir was seen at the latest hearing sporting a new haircut and was wearing a brown shalwar kameez. He spoke to police officials in Urdu, although earlier he had said that he does not understand Urdu.
The police submitted the challan of the case today.
Meanwhile, the CEO of Therapy Works, Tahir Zahoor, while addressing a press conference on Saturday, said that Zahir Jaffer was an alcoholic who has been acting as a lunatic after murdering Noor Mukadam.
