American Blogger Cynthia Ritchie To Host Show On PTV
Pakistan-based American blogger Cynthia D Richie is said to have joined Pakistan Television (PTV), as per a statement by the state broadcaster released on Monday.

The statement said: "..filmmaker and writer Cynthia Richie has joined PTV and will be a part of PTV World in the future."

The tweet with this announcement was however deleted by PTV News later. But Cynthia confirmed in a tweet that she has joined the state TV.

Last week, the US blogger was reportedly found unconscious at her Islamabad apartment under mysterious circumstances, after which she was taken to Polyclinic Hospital.

Last year, Cynthia had accused Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Rehman Malik of sexually abusing her. She had also alleged that former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and former interior minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin had sexually harassed her. Rejecting her allegations, the PPP leadership had stated that she was trying to malign the party leaders in a 'pre-planned plot'.

Earlier, the blogger had drawn social media ire, especially from PPP supporters, when she made inappropriate remarks about former prime minister Benazir Bhutto on Twitter.
In July last year, Islamabad High Court (IHC) was told by the Interior Ministry that Cynthia was working on some film projects in collaboration with Pakistan Army's media affairs wing Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
