Miffed
It’s not only Al-King and Al-Brince of the Land of Sand who are miffed with us, it’s the All Weather Friends too. Apparently, they recalled their experienced emissary more than a month ago, and his replacement is yet to present his credentials. The damage in relations has been caused, our mole reports, by our side revealing the new silk route contract details to the Eye Am Effed, at the latter’s insistence. That was a strict no-no, as per our agreement with our All Weather Friends. Someone please give them that book, what’s-it-called, “How To Win Friends And Influence People”!
Vengeful
After his last reprieve, The Man of Steel’s Talented Bro was comfortably lodged as a guest of the NABbers – they had made sure his home meals were provided, he had plenty to read, and had time and space to exercise. But apparently The Great Khan couldn’t stomach that so he insisted that Talented Bro be moved to jail. And so he was consigned to a murky cell in a notorious Lahori prison. On the first night, he was made to sleep on the floor with only a sheet for cover. We hear from his jailers that two observers were sent to witness the fact that Talented Bro was sleeping on the floor. The next day, Bro’s family petitioned the court which allowed him a charpai, a chair and home cooked meals. The family is now struggling to get Talented Bro a hard bed, given his chronic back problem, and an orthopaedic mattress.
Soothsayer
It appears The Great Khan only likes soothsayers who tell him what he wants to hear. Our mole reports that the in-house oracle displayed signs of anxiety about the future, whereupon The Khan decided to double check. So he left Isbad to venture into the heartland to consult another occult expert. Unfortunately, the said mystic had nothing more comforting to report to The Khan, saying only that “difficult challenges lie ahead”.
Compromising video
A high profile minister is anxious about a video which might soon surface, compromising his already tarnished image. We hear he went crying to a superior who patted him on the back and told him not to worry. The videographer is apparently a lady who’s outraged at the way she’s been treated.
