Wipe them out

When asked what the government will have to show for itself, come next election, The Great Khan is said to have declared that he would have wiped “these corrupt politicians off the face of this earth”. He made this statement to a friend who replied that in “democratic” polities, oppositions can’t be wiped off, they invariably come back. To that The Khan apparently said that it had happened successfully in Mahatir’s Malaysia and Erdogan’s Turkey. The friend admitted that he didn’t have the courage to say that those regimes delivered governance and economic prosperity to their people, muting the opposition’s criticism.

Wait for the peak

Having surpassed China’s rate of Coronavirus infection, at a fraction of their population (they are 1.4 billion; we are 212 million), we have to brace ourselves for the peak that is coming. Whereas China’s peak tally on infections was 83,000 give or take a few hundred, we have already crossed 85,000 plus (and these are merely official figures; we know what that means) and rising rapidly. One of The Great Khan’s most important aides apparently told our mole that the government is expecting the disease to peak in July, “and those who are vulnerable will die”. Their callousness is only rivalled by their incompetence.

No choice

Ahigh state official, to whom the Governance of those who have Sinned is entrusted, and who has recently recovered from Coronavirus, told a confidant that his experience was “terrible” and his recovery was “miraculous”. He admitted that there were moments when he felt he “wouldn’t make it”. He also admitted that he made light of the virus and talked it down in public because “that is government policy”. Apparently, it is “unmanly” to admit being petrified of this illness. “Meri to jaan nikly hui thee”, he said in a truthful moment to his friend.
