In solidarity

Our mole reports that, following the judgement of the Special Court on Mush’s treason trial, a delegation is being readied to travel to Dubai. This will be for the express purpose of demonstrating solidarity with Mush. We’re told the delegation will consist of some spooks and members of the “Same Page” government.

Meanwhile, sources also say that Mush is terminally ill, and more than that, he is dejected at the turn of events. This is nothing new; he has been in a depressed state for some time. His apologists say he meant well but “the path to hell is paved with good intentions”. He overstayed his welcome, and should have exited at the right time with some dignity in tact, they say.

“Lady wives”

Readers will recall that there was a fracas at a famous Lahori restaurant some months ago, involving a high functionary of the provincial government and his family. Denied a berth at the full restaurant, apparently the “lady wife” of the functionary was miffed and became instrumental in the restaurant’s closure. The restaurant has since reopened but what is unknown to the public is that the functionary’s wife took the fall, whereas there were other “lady wives” also present on the occasion, and they had far more political heft than Mrs Official. No prizes for guessing who these good wives were!

In sickness & in health

We hear the late lamented Big Ben's Hubby is in very frail health. He has multiple issues, including advanced heart disease, kidney disease and compromised cerebral function. He is however a very brave man and although fragile, is currently refusing to leave Pakistan for treatment abroad. That may also have to do with the fact that his doctors have advised against long hours of air travel, saying that his health cannot take it.
