Changing times

Times are changing and the NABbers are waking up to the fact that the corrupt exist not only in the opposition’s ranks but maybe lurking in the government’s lines too. We hear cases are being readied against one serving SAPM and another who was recently shown the door. The latter, in his heyday, would call up journos and exhort them to tow the line, failing which they would “feel the power of the state”. We hear The Great Khan suspected him of disloyalty and asked him to leave. The SAPM who is in the NABbers’ firing line is accused of being a defaulter of a public sector corporation and in his appointment, there is apparently a conflict of interest. On the other hand, there seems to be a go slow as far as two well-known stalwarts of The Man of Steel are concerned, one being a lady and the other a gent.

Touching scenes

There were touching scenes in London when The Man of Steel met his sons. He was seeing them for the first time since his wife had passed away, him being in jail in Pakistan when she died. Said one son to a witness, “we have not had the opportunity to grieve together. This is our first meeting since Ami left us.”

Heirs & spares

The Queen’s second son, popularly known as Randy Andy, has been a problem for a long time, from his serial dalliances to his dubious business practices. He’s now in the eye of a storm for his close association with a pedophile sex offender. What is it about heirs and spares? The latter go off the rails when overtaken by their sibling. The sober Queen was her father George VI’s heir, and her younger sister, the wild and willful Margaret, was the spare. Conscientious Prince Charles is heir to his long-reigning mum, while the less said about Randy Andy the better. And for Wills’ temperance, we have his younger bro Harry’s blunders.
