Reported in Jang (November 11, 2014) a cattle herder was spotted walking with his animals along the main road in Tharparkar carrying a solar panel. He said there was no electricity in his village and he used it to charge his mobile phone.

Transporter fires in the air when stopped for overcharging
Reported in Express (November 14, 2014) when a woman bus-stop administrator in Lahore stopped a bus for overcharging, the transporter fired gunshots in the air, creating a scare (khauf-o-haraas phail gya).
HEC bans anti-Pakistan events in universities
The Higher Education Commission has banned such events in public and private universities that are not in line with the ideology of Pakistan, reports Jang (November 14, 2014). This will create harmony in the society and promote nationalism.
Fake Taliban held for extortion
Police in Vihari caught a fake Taliban emir involved in extortion, reports Dunya (November 15, 2014). He wrote a letter to the son of a Kuwait resident saying the Taliban chief was asking for a Rs 500,000 donation. The letter was delivered with a live bullet. Police caught the man in 48 hours.
Two caught slaughtering a donkey
Reported in Jang (November 15, 2014) residents of a village in Haveli Lakha caught a man and his son slaughtering a donkey. Police have sought help from the Veterinary Department.
Five-year-old passes Microsoft exam
A five-year-old Pakistani boy has become the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional in the world, reports Nai Baat (November 15, 2014). When his father took him to the exam center, they declined to let him take the test. The father had to contact Microsoft for approval.
