Married to Dilip Kumar's brother Nasir Khan, she had three children. One of them was the actor Ayub Khan. Begum Para was the sister of the late Maj ''Bobby'' Haq, whose daughter Sherri was one of the wives of former Punjab governor Mustafa Khar.
She died on 9th December 2008, at the age of 81.
