Under majestic portals of Delhi’s Rashtrapati Bhavan where once stood Lord Mounteverest and Pandit Nehru now was standing chai-wallah Narendra Modi. Is it not ironing of history? Apart from Modi, in Delhi I am meeting old Congress crowd – Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi, Sheila Dixit (any relation of Madhuri?) They told me that they are getting a lot of gali-galoch on social media from Sangh Parivar, Modi’s party. Sounds a lot like Tehrik-e-Insaf, Imran’s party. Isn’t it ironing of history? While in Delhi, I was fully expacting firing on Line of Control in my behind. Thanks to Gen Bobby, it didn’t happen. Isn’t it ironing of history?
On my return, Rustam Shah Mohmand representing Imran in gormint-Taliban talks said that drones were batter than PAF jets because they were precisely targeted and caused far lass collateral damage. Isn’t it ironing of history? Rustam Shah also said that gormint should have done deal with Americans on drones and used them against Taliban. This is after Imran’s andlass dharnas and raving and ranting against drones. Is this not ironing of history?
When I returned to Pakistan, I saw that ISI has taken GEO off air by bullying cable wallahs and gormint is unable to stop this fascist behavior. I want to tell Gen Bobby that if elected prime minister cannot even stop cable wallahs from illegal acts then what good is premiership, hain ji. If they are so desperate to ban GEO, they should do a coup. Fust time in history that coup will be done to ban a TV channel! Is it not ironing of history?
Finally, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, minister of railways told me this inspiring story: “Goga is famous sewer rat. He lives in kabab stall at Lahore Railway Station. His best friend is a man called Pappu. Pappu sweeps railway station plateform at night. Yesterday Pappu was pushed on to the track. Goga saw a train and stopped it by pulling emergency brake”. Is it not ironing of history that a rat can stop hurtling train, hain ji? I am sanding this story to Gen Bob.
