Ghaus Bakhsh Bizenjo was a prominent Baloch politician – one of the founding members of the National Awami Party and the governor of Balochistan from 1972 to 1973.

Bizenjo was born in Quetta in 1917 and moved to Karachi after the devastating 1935 earthquake. After completing his higher education from Aligarh University, he started participating in politics. He was a member of the Kalat State National Party when Kalat declared independence, but later joined Muslim League together with the Khan of Kalat.

In 1957, he became a key member of the new National Awami Party together with other prominent progressive politicians. He spent the rest of his life in a struggle for the rights of the Baloch people. Ghaus Bakhsh Bizenjo lost the 1988 elections and died a year later. He is known as Baba-e-Balochistan by many.
